That was interesting, to say the least. The part where my body wasn't really my own was pretty disconcerting at first, but other than that...
I wouldn't go so far as to call it 'fun', but it was a change of pace. Funny how the ordinary can be so unexpected here. Throw us into the middle of a warzone, set a dragon loose, hit us with an invasion, and I don't think a lot of people here would bat an eyelash. Put us in suburbia and tell us to blend in, go to work, pay the bills, and suddenly we don't know what to do.
By the way, Capa, I couldn't have asked for a better husband. [YES, ARTHUR CAN TEASE PEOPLE SOMETIMES.] And I'm sorry for subjecting you guys to family dinners.
[Pause. Moving on.]
In other news, in case you were wondering: Dionysus isn't on the Barge anymore.
[Private to Eames]
I don't know how you do it. Forging, slipping into someone else's skin. I have to admit, I've got a newfound appreciation for what you do.
[OOC: I KNOW I OWE BACKDATED PORT TAGS. The muse just sorta got away from me for a bit. I've had a case of writers' block something fierce.]

Thank you, Arthur. Normally there's a better basis of information before transforming into such a character, but there is a great deal of working with what one finds. I trust you didn't run into much trouble?

Aside from when I had to conduct a therapy session with Sherlock Holmes? Not really. It's easy to lay low when half the neighbors are changed, too.

It would have been a better experiment had you been living with your intended husband, certainly.

[Pause.]
But speaking of work, there may be something down the line, if you're looking to stretch your legs.

Private - AWESOME. I always forget. Also, spam/log/assume?

[And at the appointed time, Arthur heads down the hall, briefcase in hand. He gives a quick, efficient knock.] Mr. Eames.
SPAAAM
"It's good to see you, Arthur." [Eames offers with a tone somewhere in between sincerity and teasing.]
SPAAAM
Yeah. [A non-committal response.] This isn't entirely a social call, you know.
[And there goes Arthur, right down to business, as usual.]
SPAAAM
[Then the forger crosses over to the right side of the room where the table, chairs, and drinks are.] "In the meantime, you've promised me a drink. I won't listen to a word of the mark until we both have glasses in hand."
[It was still his master plan to go under after they were both intoxicated. It created a whole new dreamsharing experience because the dream shifted regularly at the dreamer's prompting.]
SPAAAM
You know I keep my promises. [Smirking a little:] You've got better taste in drinks than I thought.

"Mind if I propose something, before we get down to the mark?"

[He pauses just a second to let that initial proposition sink in, then elaborates.] "It's the only way for her to understand what we do, which will be the only way she'll begin to understand how powerful and addicting the world can be. I'm fairly convinced it's the only way she'll have a chance at helping Mal in any significant fashion."

[He leans forward to refill the point man's glass whether he wants it or not, setting his own glass down and then picking up the bottle and pouring Arthur's. Even though he was curious, he knew better than to ask about a previous job; it was confidential. There was really only one question that mattered.] "Who all knows about dream-sharing here? Aside from Robert, Mal, Angelica, and Ariande?"
