It's not really..levels. It's just there or it isn't. Our knowledge, at least in my time, of dark matter is still very scattered and incomplete. I'm relying on people like Adric and Harper to fill in some of those gaps. But hundreds of years of information...it takes a while. Even for me. [Be a little more arrogant, Capa...]

But I can test for the presence of it by testing how light bends. It's a tedious process, but...I don't mind. Of course, those readings are skewed, I'm sure, by whatever is keeping the deck habitable. I just wish I knew what that was.

Maybe some kind of force field? Sounds like sci fi, I guess, but just about everything on the Barge does.

Think about it. We're on a flying ship in space that shouldn't exist. There are aliens, futuristic technology around and planets that really shouldn't exist.

I'd say that we'd all qualify for a very bad sci fi movie.

For my temporary inmate. I asked if there was anything I could do for him, and he said he wanted some food from his planet. I'm sure it'll raise some eyebrows, especially in light of what just happened to Narvin, but it's food. I don't think it's a big deal.

He wants... some kind of rodent. With a... sauce made from crushed flowers and cream. I think.

At least you're dedicated, I suppose. But I don't see why it's a problem. You're right...it's just food. You're not supposed to make him miserable...just keep him out of trouble.

Essentially. Although now I've got another inmate on my hands who enjoys griping about humans. I really hope my next assignment offers a change of pace.
