That was interesting, to say the least.  The part where my body wasn't really my own was pretty disconcerting at first, but other than that...

I wouldn't go so far as to call it 'fun', but it was a change of pace.  Funny how the ordinary can be so unexpected here.  Throw us into the middle of a warzone, set a dragon loose, hit us with an invasion, and I don't think a lot of people here would bat an eyelash.  Put us in suburbia and tell us to blend in, go to work, pay the bills, and suddenly we don't know what to do.

By the way, Capa, I couldn't have asked for a better husband. [YES, ARTHUR CAN TEASE PEOPLE SOMETIMES.] And I'm sorry for subjecting you guys to family dinners.

[Pause.  Moving on.]

In other news, in case you were wondering: Dionysus isn't on the Barge anymore.

[Private to Eames]
I don't know how you do it.  Forging, slipping into someone else's skin. I have to admit, I've got a newfound appreciation for what you do.

[OOC: I KNOW I OWE BACKDATED PORT TAGS.  The muse just sorta got away from me for a bit. I've had a case of writers' block something fierce.]

What will you do now?

[Read: OH GOD ARTHUR DON'T LEAVE]

Responsible as ever. It is perhaps selfish of me, but I am glad to know that you'll be staying.

[OH THANK GOD.]

I hope your subsequent assignment is more successful.

[Mrs. Cobb is EXTREMELY GLAD OF THIS.]

Re: Private - no worries at all! I've been busy, anyway.

He was quite a gentleman, in fact. Much more so than one would have expected. He is a widower and had a daughter, so I suppose that accounts ...

The most difficult thing I had to do was lecture some first-year psychology students on operant conditioning. I believe the phrase is "got off easy".

I had undergraduates! I haven't had them in over ten years. I do not miss teaching, believe me, now more than ever.

I am sure that you acquitted yourself well. Surely the first thing you did was read every one of your case files twice.

[She sounds ... jokey. Cheerful. Arthur is welcome to be a little surprised by this.]
