So, what's the protocol for when a warden shoots an inmate? Or, specifically, their inmate?

[OOC: In reference to him shooting Mindy like a week ago with no comment at all. HE KIND OF FINDS THAT DISTURBING. And sorry for the fail post, I'm just sort of easing back into RP, and APPARENTLY MY BRAIN'S NOT READY YET.]

You'd think that, wouldn't you. [Terse, dry undertone here. Trusting in the good in people; the last couple of months on this boat have taught him that that's just a really bad idea. Not that he didn't have an inkling even before he came here.]

Well. 's a hard habit to get rid off, expecting people to act half-way responsibly. Good to hear that about your inmate, though. Can I ask, what exactly happened?

Absolutely. I was running a high fever, practically hallucinating-- needless to say, my judgment wasn't sound at the time-- and my inmate broke into my room and tried to strangle me with a lamp cord. We fought, and she had the upper hand. It was kind of hard for her not to when I was in that state. Some of the furniture was turned over, the gun came out of the drawer, and we both went for it. I got it first, and I fired. It wasn't what I normally would have done in that situation, and it was a mistake. It just... felt like instinct at the time.

Nah, I was just, y'know. Twelve year old girl who's trying to strangle a guy, that's pretty messed up. [Linefacing himself. Because 12-year-olds being messed up enough to resort to murder, that's just something that doesn't sit well with him. Even on the Barge.]
