So, what's the protocol for when a warden shoots an inmate? Or, specifically, their inmate?

[OOC: In reference to him shooting Mindy like a week ago with no comment at all. HE KIND OF FINDS THAT DISTURBING. And sorry for the fail post, I'm just sort of easing back into RP, and APPARENTLY MY BRAIN'S NOT READY YET.]

I've told you my opinion on the matter already. I think it depends severely on the circumstances and how it impacts on your relation with your inmate.

I'd also like to know why this went unmentioned until this point, as a point of general discussion, not directed at you, Arthur.

I'm interested in that discussion, myself. If a warden becomes incapacitated, does their inmate just get thrown to the wolves, as it were?

It's a very good question, actually. Because someone should be paying attention to that.

Although, usually, if you're only partially incapacitated and not... dead, it's your responsibility to ask someone else to, I'd argue.

In my case: I did. What happened wasn't her fault, but I'm surprised that when an inmate turns up with a bullet in them, nobody questions it.

Somebody should have. It depends on who knew, but someone should have. Especially as it'd be quite plausible whoever had done it was out there, armed, and still dangerous.

Look, it was an accident. [AND SHE WAS TRYING TO KILL HIM.] I don't plan on making a habit of it.

Is that a general declaration, or are you referring to something specifically? [ARTHUR FIGURES IT'S ABOUT MINDY; he's just being a bit of a jerk :c]

I'm assuming this isn't the first time this sort of thing's happened. Have there been armed and dangerous inmates left loose in the past?

Not to my immediate knowledge. Normally, once... someone's [awkward pause] bit the first bullet, someone's gone to find them and stop them.

But that does rely on the person finding the injured party informing everyone.

Well, that's comforting.

I really hope that wasn't sarcastic.

Oh, and it might help if you explain the context of what you did, but that's up to you.

Was it necessary to protect yourself?

I am not certain, but I certainly hope the actions taken would be severe.

In the event of defending one's self from one's inmate, and given that the infirmary staff is competent and the death toll exists, then I feel such actions are within reason.

No problem, it was easy.
