I've got a question for... anyone who feels like indulging me. [He drops the object in his hand down on the bar, just out of the shot.] What do you dream about?

What I'm wondering is... [He takes a sip of his drink, frowning a little.] After a breach, do you dream as the person you were, or the person you are? [Arthur can't answer that question, himself, since he doesn't dream at all without the PASIV. SUCKS TO BE HIM.]

There's not much to talk about. I was a perfectly ordinary soldier. [He takes a sip and scoffs lightly.] In a perfectly normal underground facility. Guarding aliens.

Yeah, perfectly normal. [She snorts vaguely, pouring herself a finger of liquor.] I was a perfectly ordinary investigative reporter. So more or less my same, snoopy self.

I dream as myself... at least this time, it's been my first breach. I'd hope a couple of days aren't enough to make your subconscious forget your other life though.

Maybe not forget, no, but it's a weird sensation-- it's like incorporating somebody else's life into your own. I sometimes wonder if those identities have a greater influence over the subconscious than we think.

My dreams are strange. Sometimes I dream as me, a memory implanted in me, sometimes I even dream as the skrill.

Do others dream about their other lives?

And so far, it's looking like some do, some don't. I guess it depends on the person, how easily they can keep their memories and identities separate.

They're like you would imagine scorpions would dream. [Very specific, but it's hard to think of a better way to phrase it.] I'm different. I have more parts. They're simple dreams, but when it dreams, it still can walk as its ancestors could.

This is the first time I've encountered a breach. I've not dreamed yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

I dream as the person I am. With proper mental partitioning, it's usually fairly easy to keep the memories separate.

I do occasionally dream as my previous incarnation, however.
