What did you think a riot would really accomplish?
I'm not trying to start an argument here, and I'm not speaking on behalf of the wardens. Just thought I'd open the lines of communication. For curiosity's sake.

I see some of you have met one of our new arrivals. For those who haven't had the pleasure, this is Mal.
[The transmission cuts to replay this post, then Arthur goes back to speaking.]
She's not big on the "hello"s right now. I can't stress enough how important it is to tread carefully around her. She's not a danger to anybody but herself, but this place is a lot to take in, and let's face it: neither you nor the inmates have the best track record for dealing information out with sensitivity. I don't want her getting hurt or... upset because some guy thought it would be funny to mention vampires and aliens in the same breath as mind-altering floods while she's still getting used to the whole death part of the Barge equation. Just... try not to be flippant about the way things work here, when you're talking to her.
And don't treat her like a criminal just because she's an inmate.
Until she's assigned a warden, I'll be looking after her. If anything happens to her, I'll deal with it. [Which means: if your inmates hurt her, ARTHUR WILL SHOOT THEM.] I'd like to request that you come to me first if you have any concerns about her-- at least until she's assigned.

Also, my inmate, Mindy Macready, isn't on the Barge anymore. In case anybody was wondering.
[OOC: JUST TO BE CLEAR, Arthur's not actually Mal's interim warden or anything. He's just being nosy because, well, she's both his friend and HIS BFF'S DEAD WIFE. So he's kind of invested in making sure nothing happens to her, even if it's not in an official capacity.
And now I have to slink off to run errands. WILL TAG SLOWLY UNTIL I RETURN.]
